2026–2027: The Franciscan Year. A Journey That Continues

Dal 10 gennaio 2026 al 10 gennaio 2027 si celebra l'Anno Francescano, dedicato all'ottavo centenario della morte di San Francesco d'Assisi. Un cammino di fede, sobrietà e pace che continua...

From January 10, 2026 to January 10, 2027 will be the Special Year dedicated to the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi .

An anniversary that concerns one of the most beloved figures in Christianity and that speaks to our time in a surprisingly relevant way:

the relationship with creation, sobriety as a conscious choice, peace as daily responsibility, the journey as a way of life.

Francis, man of the journey

Saint Francis did not leave complex systems or abstract doctrines. He left gestures, essential words, signs.

His message spans centuries because it arises from a radical simplicity: walking lightly, without unnecessary possessions, recognizing the value of every creature, choosing the pace as an inner posture even before it becomes a word.

It is no coincidence that the Canticle of Creatures — one of the foundational texts of the Italian language — is not a distant prayer, but a hymn pronounced on the journey , in body and in life.

From the Jubilee to the daily journey

The Jubilee 2025 represented for millions of people an experience of encounter, passage, and search that continues beyond the event. The Franciscan Year fits precisely into this continuity. Not as a closure, but as a natural continuation of the path : from the extraordinary pilgrimage to the ordinary journey , lived every day.

Signs that accompany

In this spirit, the line dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi was born, conceived not as a simple collection of items, but as a set of signs to carry with you .

Sweatshirts, t-shirts, shoppers, and backpacks become discreet carriers of words that speak to the heart:

  • “Laudato si', mi' Signore”

  • "Walk lightly. The necessary follows you."

  • “Be peace, wherever you arrive”

Phrases inspired by Franciscan spirituality, reinterpreted in a contemporary, essential graphic language, designed to accompany the daily journey without ostentation, in coherence with the message of the Saint

 A journey that remains

The Franciscan Year does not call for noisy celebrations. It calls for attention, listening, responsibility.

It is an invitation to slow down, to choose what truly matters, to carry with you — even in the simplest gestures — a message of peace, respect, and fraternity.

The journey that began with the Jubilee continues. And, as Francis taught us, the necessary follows you .
